What the Flipkart Label Cropper does

Flipkart is one of the largest online marketplaces in India, and thousands of sellers use its Seller Hub every day to receive orders, pack parcels and hand them over to a courier. Each shipment needs a shipping label that carries the barcode, the courier or logistics partner, the AWB or tracking number, the order ID, the SKU details and the customer's delivery address. When you download these labels from your seller account they usually arrive as a PDF built around a standard A4 page. The Flipkart Label Cropper on this page takes that PDF and turns every page into a clean 4x6 inch label that is ready for a thermal printer.

Whether you need to resize a Flipkart label PDF for a thermal printer, convert an A4 label to 4x6, or crop the label and invoice separately, the steps below cover it.

The tool does one job and tries to do it well. It looks at each page of your PDF, finds where the printed label actually sits, removes the empty paper around it, and places the result on a 4x6 inch page. You get one new PDF with the same number of pages as the original, and every page is already the right size for a roll of 4x6 thermal labels. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for and no limit on how many times you can use it.

LabelsCropper is an independent website. We are not connected with Flipkart, Ekart or any courier company, and we do not have access to your seller account. The tool works on a PDF file that you download yourself and choose from your own device.

Why Flipkart sellers crop labels in the first place

If you print an A4 label PDF straight onto a thermal roll, the printer either shrinks the whole page until the barcode is tiny or it cuts the label across two stickers. Neither result is acceptable when a courier has to scan the barcode at pickup. If you print on plain A4 paper instead, you waste a sheet for every parcel and you still have to cut and paste the label onto the box by hand. For a seller who ships twenty parcels a day that is a small nuisance. For a seller who ships several hundred, it is hours of lost time and a steady cost in paper, tape and ink.

A 4x6 label printer solves this because the sticker comes off the roll already sized for a parcel. The only missing piece is a PDF in the same size. Some sellers use a desktop PDF editor and crop each page by hand. That works, but it is slow, it is easy to cut off part of the barcode, and it does not scale. Cropping automatically removes the manual step and keeps the result consistent from the first label to the last one in a batch.

How to use the Flipkart Label Cropper, step by step

  1. Download your labels. Open your seller account on Flipkart, go to the orders you are ready to dispatch and download the shipping labels as a PDF. You can download one label or many at once. If you are not sure which option to use, look for the print or download label action next to your orders. Menu names change from time to time, so follow the wording shown in your own panel.
  2. Open this page and add the file. Drag the PDF into the upload box at the top of the page, or tap the box and choose the file from your phone, tablet or computer. There is no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Very large PDFs depend on available browser/device memory.
  3. Choose the padding. Padding is the small amount of white space that is kept around the label. Normal (6%) suits most labels. Choose Tight if you want the label to fill as much of the sticker as possible, and choose Loose if your printer tends to clip the edges.
  4. Choose the crop mode. The default mode, Label only, keeps the first block of content on each page and leaves out anything printed far below it, such as a tax invoice. If your PDF contains only labels, both modes give the same result. If you want everything on the page, choose Keep everything on page.
  5. Wait a moment. A progress bar shows how many pages have been processed. Most files finish within seconds. Very long PDFs on older phones take longer because all of the work happens on your own device.
  6. Download and print. Your new PDF downloads automatically. Open it, check the first label, and print it on your 4x6 printer. If the download does not start, press the Download Again button.

How the cropping works behind the scenes

It helps to know what the tool is doing so you can trust it and so you can fix the occasional odd result. The process has four stages and every stage runs inside your browser.

1. Reading the PDF

When you choose a file, your browser loads a PDF reading library called PDF.js and a PDF writing library called jsPDF. These libraries are fetched only after you pick a file, so they do not slow down the page while you are just reading it. The PDF is opened from your device's memory and is never sent anywhere.

2. Finding the label

Each page is drawn to a hidden canvas at a modest resolution. The tool then scans the pixels and marks every pixel that is not close to white. Rows that contain printed content are grouped into blocks. If two blocks are separated by a wide empty band, which is more than about 3.5 percent of the page height, they are treated as separate sections. In Label only mode the first substantial section is kept and small stray marks, such as a one line page header, are ignored. In Keep everything mode the tool simply takes the outer edges of all printed content.

3. Cropping and re-drawing

Once the label area is known, the tool adds your chosen padding and draws only that area again at a much higher resolution, roughly 1200 pixels across, which is about 300 dots per inch on a 4 inch wide sticker. Drawing the label again rather than stretching the first small image is what keeps the barcode sharp. Only the label region is drawn at high resolution, which keeps memory use low enough for phones.

4. Building the 4x6 PDF

The cropped image is placed on a 4x6 inch page with a thin safety margin and centered horizontally. It is scaled to fit without distortion, so the shape of the label never changes. All pages are combined into a single PDF and saved to your device. Because each label is stored as an image, the text in the output cannot be selected or searched. That is normal for a print file and does not affect scanning.

Understanding the 4x6 label size

By default the output is 4 inches wide and 6 inches tall, and the Output size menu lets you pick another size. In metric terms that is about 101.6 by 152.4 millimetres. Many label rolls are sold as 100 x 150 mm, and the two sizes are close enough that printers treat them as interchangeable. The table below shows the numbers you may meet when you set up a printer.

Measure4x6 label
Inches4 x 6
Millimetresabout 101.6 x 152.4 (often sold as 100 x 150)
PDF points288 x 432
Dots at 203 dpi812 x 1218
Dots at 300 dpi1200 x 1800
Typical A4 page for comparison210 x 297 mm

Most desktop thermal printers sold in India print at 203 dpi, and some higher priced models print at 300 dpi. A label cropped by this tool has more than enough detail for either, so you will not gain anything by looking for a higher quality setting.

Printer settings that avoid common problems

Even a perfectly cropped PDF can print badly if the printer is set up wrongly. These settings fix most of the problems sellers report.

If you print from a phone, use the printer maker's app or your device's print dialog and check the preview before you press print. A preview that shows the label filling the page is a good sign.

Tips for sellers who ship on Flipkart every day

Daily shipping rewards a steady routine. The tips below come from how label workflows usually run in small and medium sized seller businesses.

Labels and layouts that Flipkart or its logistics partners provide can change. If a new layout looks wrong after cropping, try the other crop mode and a different padding value. If the problem continues, let us know through the contact page and include a description of what you see, with personal details removed.

Your customers' data stays on your device

A shipping label is full of personal information: a name, a full address and a phone number. Many online converters upload your file to a server to process it, which means a copy of your customers' details leaves your control. The Flipkart Label Cropper does not work that way. The PDF is read and cropped by code running in your own browser, and the finished file is created on your device. We never receive the file, we cannot read it, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

The tool loads its two version-pinned open source libraries from this website only after you choose a file. Those requests contain no information about your file. You can read more on our privacy policy page.

More output sizes and a separate invoice file

The default output is 4x6 inches, but the Output size menu above the upload box also offers 100 x 150 mm, A6, A5, 3 x 5 in, 4 x 4 in and a custom width and height in millimetres. If you print on an ordinary office printer, choose an A4 sheet with 2 or 4 labels and the tool arranges the labels on each sheet so you can cut them apart. The size you pick is remembered on this device.

If your Flipkart PDF has the invoice printed below the label, tick the option to save the invoice part as a separate PDF. The label file downloads as usual, and a Download invoices PDF button appears with the invoice parts on A4 pages. This works in Label only mode and needs a clear empty gap between the label and the invoice. If none is found, the tool tells you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Flipkart Label Cropper really free?

Yes. There is no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Very large PDFs depend on available browser/device memory. The site is supported by advertising.

Do I need to create an account or log in?

No. You do not need an account, an email address or a phone number. Open the page, choose your PDF and download the result.

Are my customers' details safe?

Your PDF is processed inside your own browser and is never uploaded to our servers. We have no copy of it and no ability to view it. Only two public code libraries are downloaded when you choose a file.

What size will the cropped labels be?

By default every page is exactly 4 x 6 inches, which is about 101.6 x 152.4 mm. This is the standard size for TSC, Zebra and most other desktop thermal label printers.

Can I crop many Flipkart labels at once?

Yes. There is no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Very large PDFs depend on available browser/device memory. If you have more than 200 labels, split them into several files.

What if my Flipkart PDF includes an invoice as well as the label?

Keep the crop mode on Label only. The tool then keeps the first block of content on each page and leaves out the invoice section when there is a clear gap between them. If you want everything, switch to Keep everything on page.

Will the barcode still scan after cropping?

Yes, in normal use. The label is re-drawn at about 300 dots per inch rather than stretched, so bars stay sharp. Still, you should scan one printed label before a large batch.

Does it work on mobile phones?

Yes. It runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. Very large PDFs process more slowly on older phones.

Which printers can I use with the cropped PDF?

Any printer that can print a 4x6 inch page, including TSC, Zebra and many other desktop thermal printers. Select 4x6 inch paper, set the scale to 100 percent and turn off page margins.

Is this tool made or approved by Flipkart?

No. LabelsCropper is an independent website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Flipkart or any logistics company. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Can I use the cropper without internet?

Not on the first use. The page needs a connection to fetch the PDF libraries when you choose a file. Your PDF itself is never sent over the connection.

The output looks wrong. What should I try?

Try the other crop mode, then change the padding. Tight and Normal suit most labels, and Loose helps when edges get clipped. Always check the preview before you print.

Can I get a size other than 4x6?

Yes. The Output size menu offers 100 x 150 mm, A6, A5, 3 x 5 in, 4 x 4 in, a custom width and height in millimetres, and A4 sheets with 2 or 4 labels. Your choice is remembered on your device.

Can I save the invoice as a separate file?

Yes. Tick the option to save the invoice part as a separate PDF. In Label only mode, the tool gives you the label file as usual and a second button for the invoice pages when it finds an invoice below the label with a clear gap.
